    The Mountain Between Us

This great book just became a featured film released on October 6, 2017, by 20th Century Fox starring Kate Winslet and Idris Elba. The main characters Dr. Ben Payne and writer Ashley Knox are meet at the Salt Lake City airport when their flights home are canceled due to weather conditions. Both of them are in a hurry to get home, with Ben having patients to attend to, and Ashley getting married the following day. Important Questions To Ask At Your Fist OB Appointment

Now that you are pregnant, I bet you have a million questions. I know I did! What is best for baby? Is this safe? The easiest way to remember your questions is to write them down when you think of them. I kept a little notepad with a pen in the kitchen so it was easily available. No question is a dumb question. It is better to be prepared, than not at all. According to Thebump.com here are some important questions to ask at your first OB appointment: How much weight should I gain, and at what rate? Do I have an increased risk of any specific complications or conditions? What…

    FabFitFun-Fall 2017

Click HERE to receive $10 off of your first box today! This is my very first FabFitFun box. I was so excited to get it in the mail, it was like Christmas. When I opened it up, on top was a newspaper. The Fall In Love cover featured a letter from the co-founder Kaire Ann Rosen Kitchens. She gives a behind the scenes look at how they select their products and ends it in the perfect way by saying “Happy pumpkin spice season to you all!” Every quarter, FabFitFun partners with a different nonprofit organization, and this quarter is UNICEF USA. Approximately 263 million children and youth are out of school…

    Ipsy Review-September 2017

September 2017 This months bag came really late due to the hurricanes over on the east coast. So here is my review..finally. First off I think this is my favorite bag itself. It is sleek, black, faux leather, and spiked. Pacifica Coconut Blush Duo This blush is by far the best blush out there and my favorite item this month. By mixing the two, my cheeks looked perfectly sun-kissed. This blush is made with coconut oil, making it hydrating and wrinkle preventing. I loved that this was a full sized product! tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara This cruelty-free and vegan mascara not only made my lashes longer but separated them. This…

    Lincoln’s Journey

This morning we had a meeting about the results of Lincolns second evaluation that ultimately decided if he was in the special ed program. While walking to the special ed office they had told me that he definitely qualified for services and that after the initial meeting we were having the IEP meeting. At first, I didn't react and after it sank in said "o.k." In the mounds of paperwork, it comes down to his numbers and how they are compared to someone his age. 77-100 is "average," below 77 means there is a delay and over 100 is above average. In the first assessment, he was tested in adaptive, personal-social,…

    The Momma’s Netflix Watch List

TV Series That You Can Binge Till The End:LostThe survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 were 1,000 miles off course when they crashed on a lush, mysterious island. Each person possesses a shocking secret, but they've got nothing on the island itself, which harbors a monstrous security system, a series of underground bunkers and a group of violent survivalists hidden in the shadows. This show is a great one to watch with the spouse when the kids go to bed. It is exciting and makes you want more. We would stay up until 2 am because we couldn't get enough of it and when the series was over, it was heartbreaking. This…

    Lincoln’s Journey

Last Wednesday we went to Lincolns pediatrician to talk to him about our concerns with Lincoln developmentally, and the results from his initial special ed screening. He asked why we are concerned with his developmental state. Lincoln has always been on the move from day 1. He started rolling at 2 months, crawling at 4, walking assisted at 7, and fully walking at 9 months. He hated taking naps, would stay up into all hour of the night if we let him, and just was more hyper than the "average" kid. He really has never wanted to snuggle and is very independent. Taylor and I would make comments about how Lincoln…
